A long weekend to enjoy local products, cooking workshops and special tours. Discover the secrets of local cuisine with chef Antonella Barbella!

 

To stay in the charming and cozy agriturismo Rifugiomare, close to the coast of Abruzzo.

 

For who: Lovers of Italy and Italian cuisine, ideal for a group of friends with a passion for Italian food.

 

 

The trip will take place with min. 6 participants.

Program

Saturday: Arrival, meeting at the airport, transfer to accommodation. Welcome drink with snack. Then free time to visit beach of San Vito Marina. Dinner at local restaurant & overnight in agriturismo.

 

Sunday: In the morning, a guided excursion to the medieval castle of Roccascalegna, and from Bomba Lake in the Sangrovallei, a beautiful nature in Abruzzo. Lunch at local trattorias. Back to the agriturismo and leisure. After that workshop "La cucina tipica locale di pesce" - local recipes with fish

 

Monday: In the morning a guided walk along the "Costa dei Trabocchi", visiting it's medieval church of San Giovanni in Venere, and visiting fishermen in their harbor and the "Trabocco Punta Tufano."

Light lunch at Rifugiomare.

In the afternoon a master class' Pasta Fresca`&`Dolce Tipico, fresh pasta and tipycal cookies.

 

 

Tuesday: In the morning, a guided excursion to the charming town of Lanciano, with Roman excavations, churches and ancient buildings. Visit the local bakery for traditional bread and pizza. In the afternoon transfer to the airport of Pescara.

Local fish and typical recipes from Trabocchi coast

 

  • Grilled squid and shrimp with home made breadcrumb
  • Hame made pasta with a local grane with chickpeas and shrimp
  • Stuffed mussels in a tomato sauce
  • Seasonal salad
  • Bocconotti - tasting of typical local cake


Masterclass fresh pasta and typical cake

  • Pasta with brown beens
  • Guitar spaghetti with garlic and oil, and sweet pepper from the near village Altino
  • Ravioli stuffed with meat with veal rolls
  • Salad of fresh seasonal vegetables
  • Tarallucci - cookies with wine and oil stuffed with Montepulciano grape jam
